ITU Guidelines on Child Online Protection

The ITU Child Online Protection Guidelines provide a comprehensive set of recommendations to help create safe, inclusive, and empowering digital environments for children and young people. Designed for key stakeholders—including children, parents and educators, industry, and policymakers—the guidelines offer practical tools and guidance to build digital skills, promote online safety, and support the development of effective policies and strategies in response to evolving online risks. In addition, the platform offers a range of complementary resources, including self-paced training modules for adults, children and youth, video lessons, interactive materials such as play cards and flyers, as well as a mobile app and a browser-based game for children.
